Julie Foudy
}} Julie Maurine Foudy (born January 23, 1971) is a retired American professional soccer midfielder who played for the United States women's national soccer team from 1987 through 2004. She finished with 271 caps and served as the team's co-captain from 1991–2000 and captain from 2000 through her retirement in 2004. In 2007, she was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame with her teammate, Mia Hamm. She is currently an analyst, reporter and the primary color commentator for women's soccer telecasts on ESPN. ==Early life== Foudy attended Mission Viejo High School where she was a two-time First-Team All-American. She was honored as the Player of the Year for Southern California three straight years (1987–1989), as well as the Los Angeles Times' soccer player of the decade.
